Okay. So nobody had ever said he was the greatest at remembering to do things on most days, and when he was away from his friends? That got much worse. Mostly tending to work via looking up things where he needed to and traveling from town to town in search of the things he needed to eventually make himself human, which sometimes meant forgetting to eat.
It was no different than people missing a meal or two... but this was getting close to almost four days since he'd last eaten, which was two more than most vampires usually could handle and here he was. Still depriving himself since he'd spent the majority of his late evening just getting into town where he'd be staying for a while. He'd have to get himself a place - which wasn't too hard thankfully - while then remembering to do as the witch had told him. She'd given him a talisman with a spell attached to it; thankfully reusable as many times as needed.
He didn't need actual magic himself to do it other than just envisioning the kind of layout he wanted for the apartment and the stuff in it. After speaking the words, everything just popped up into place with a poof of reddish-purple smoke that he had to swat away. It was good and fairly temporary since he could just speak another choice phrase and it'd be gone. No moving stuff in required.
"There. Now time to get out and do what I do best!"
Kayre grinned a bit to himself as he smoothed out the material of his black shirt, ignoring that pang of hunger gnawing at him as he pocketed his keys and headed out into town. There was a library in town that was open late so if he hurried, he could--
OOF.
Or he could run into someone while rounding a corner. That hadn't been the most pleasant for him but hopefully he hadn't made anyone too upset or anything.
"Whoah... hey. Sorry about that" He flashed a toothy grin alongside his apology. Most people weren't as alarmed by his having fangs in today's society since a lot of humans got their teeth filed down to look this way so it wasn't as unusual as it could be.

The guy doesn't look hurt, at least. Blue hair, sharp fangs, and a wide grin--he looks like he could be off to a party or something, in a getup like that. Still, there's a hint of an odd smell about him, standing this close..... Lenux pulls in a deep breath through his nose to consider it better.

Thankfully he managed to cover it up, relieved that the other guy wasn't bothered by him running into him. Some people could be super touchy when it came to strangers getting into their personal space, after all.
"Yeah! Just a little distracted. Usually i'm not the type to run into people like that." Says the guy who's probably coming off as a bit of a ditz right now, not helping that his style of clothing for the night consisted of a black, nondescript band tee, a light jean jacket, deep navy pants and some kind of lace-up boots. Not to mention he was still... well... stupidly pale so that didn't help the 'looking okay' part all that much.
"Glad I didn't make you drop anything there. You look like you have quite a bit you're carrying to... home, i'd guess."
